Privacy Policy

This policy explains how your personal data is processed when you use the LeafyGrade mobile app (the "App"). In short: we collect as little data as possible, we never collect your location, and we never sell your data.

LeafyGrade can be used as a guest without an account. In guest mode your profile and scans stay only on your device and are never sent to our servers.

1. Data we process

Account info: If you create an account, your email address (or your Apple/Google sign-in identifier).
Profile preferences: Your allergies, diet preferences, health conditions, halal sensitivity and country. These are used only to generate your personal warnings; health/allergy data is treated as sensitive personal data.
Usage data: Your history of scanned products and your favourites.
What we don't collect: No location, contacts, advertising ID or profiling/tracking data.

2. Why we process it

To produce the product score and your personal warnings.
If you have an account, to sync your history, favourites and preferences across devices.
To diagnose crashes and improve stability.

3. Third-party services

Supabase: Account, authentication and data storage infrastructure.
Open Food Facts: Only the barcode you scan is queried to fetch product data; no personal information is shared.
AI explanation: To generate a short explanation, product data and (if any) relevant profile category names (e.g. "diabetes") are processed; your identity is not shared.
RevenueCat: To manage Premium subscriptions (subscription status only).
Sentry: For crash reports; personal fields like device name and email are filtered out, and profile/health data is never sent.
No ads: We use no ad networks and we do not sell your data.

4. Storage and security

Your data is protected by row-level security rules that restrict access to rows that belong to you. When you delete your account, your associated data is permanently removed.

5. Your rights

Under GDPR and KVKK you have the right to access, correct, export and delete your data. You can export your data and fully delete your account from within the App. Contact us for any request.

6. Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

7. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time; for significant changes we will notify you in the App or on this page.
